411 Corkstown Rd. Nepean, ON

Take the Queensway to Moodie exit, to Corkstown Road, which runs parallel to the Queensway on the northern side.

Note: These buses do NOT go right to the trailer park, will have to walk from nearest bus stop.

Adults
$12 / day or $20 weekend pass (Friday - Sunday)

Seniors (Ages 60+)
Youth (Ages 13 - 18)
Students (with valid I.D.)
$6 / day or $10 weekend pass (Friday - Sunday)

1/2 price on single day admission - Friday & Saturday after 6pm

33rd Annual Pow Wow

A beautiful display of colourful dancers in regalia with the beat of the drum who will compete for the top five spots.


Pow Wow Grand Entries:
Friday 6 pm
Saturday 12 pm & 7 pm
Sunday 12 pm


Dance and Drum Competitions:
Held at various times throughout the Pow Wow
5 places paid in all categories
1st place drum receives a drum and prize money

?: Rain Out Location?
A: There is no rain out location, this event is "rain or shine". No large tent this year but a few smaller ones to protect equipment and provide cover for drum groups & elders.

?: Who is the host drum and what's the prize money?
A: Host drum is Whitetail Singers
, prize money TBA.

?: Where and when should I pay for camping?
A: When you arrive, pay at the Pow Wow Camping Booth, $30 per night.

?: When is Grand Entry?
A: May 22 - 6pm,
May 23 - 12pm & 7pm, May 24 - 12pm

?: Is there a host hotel for the Festival?
A: There is NO host hotel. Book hotel/motel in Kanata area (Richmond Rd., Moodie Dr.).

?: I would like to inquire about registering as a vendor.
A: Registration forms posted below.

?: What kind of arts & crafts can I purchase there?
A: Hand made crafts such as carvings, dreamcatchers, jewellery etc. You can also find paintings, clothing
, decals & many other expressions of Native culture.
Prices for the public to purchase items are set individually by each vendor.

?: What kind of food can I find there?
A: Lots of wild meats such as Moose, Cariboo, Deer, Buffalo etc.
Walleye, Arctic Char
, Wild Rice & "Indian Tacos" are popular as well. Each vendor brings their own recipies so menu items change slightly from year to year.

?: What is prohibited at this event?
A: Drugs, alcohol & pets (guide dogs allowed).

?: Is this event wheelchair accessible?
A: Yes but since it is held outside at the Ottawa Campground, the ground conditions may pose a bit of a challenge on mobility.

?: Are non-Native people welcome to attend?
A: YES! Everyone is welcome!
